I had the privilege to go to camp again this year. This was my 5th year of camp with some of these students. I can honestly say that watching them grow up and go after God has been one of my greatest joys in my short life.

I led worship for the week. And joining in with the students in worship was amazing. To be able to sit back and let them sing over the band to their God brought such happiness to my soul. Seeing students run to a God that shows them huge love is beautiful. I love every second of it.

So now camp is over for another year and I will recoup from not sleeping, sweating (it was crazy hot, over 100 degrees each day and we had no a/c), and running around with teenagers, but I will never forget this past week in the woods with students and God.

Camp

So this past week all I have been able to think about is camp. We leave Monday morning. This year we are headed to Point 11 Camp on Table Rock Lake. We are taking about 80 students and will be joined by 2 other churches.

I am incredibly excited about what camp is going to bring. I get to lead worship again this year. Every year brings something different but leading at camp is by far my favorite time to lead. For some reason the students leave their inhibitions at home and they jump into worship with all that they have. It’s incredibly fun to usher them to a place where they can see God face to face.

I also get to lead a morning session, dealing with worship and how it affects on a daily basis. Hopefully the students grab hold of what God has laid on my heart and run with it.

So if you read this, probably not many will. Please take some time this week to lift up our camp in prayer. God is going to do amazing things!

Another Fresh Start

Apparently I am a horrible blogger/website owner. I haven’t updated the site in months, partly because I’m working on a different project (more on that at another time) and partly because my life was kind of tossed up in the air for a while.

I’ve finally landed and for the first time in a long time I can say that I feel like my life is good. I feel like I finally know what I am doing in this world. Yeah sometimes I’m still scared and confused but those times are few and far between. I’m confident. Finally confident.

So this is a fresh start. The same blog, new look, new outlook and hopefully new content. Yes, I will still post stupid videos I like, and new music I am enjoying. But I am planning on actually providing some sort of content to the site. I don’t know what that will look like quite yet, but I’m working on it.

So thanks for checking the new site out. Come back, I might actually have something to say.
