We are leaving in 2 days for a week in Colorado with an amazing group of students. I am ready to see what God is going to do in these kids lives. However, the planning and preparation for camp has been crazy. To the point where I am already pretty worn out. So this week is going to require a significant lean on God to get me through. I know it will be great!

I get to lead worship for our students. Worship always seems to be the on constant thing that is memorable from camp for me. We've got some great new tunes for the kids but more importantly God is going to do his thing! And I can't wait to see what that thing is!

It was the last business day of the month, which is always a little insane for me, but this one seemed ridiculously crazy! After working a little late I headed home to host the first outdoor movie night for my friends. Complete with a taco bar and "Twister"! It was a beautiful night and a ton of fun!

Saturday morning began with an early breakfast with my friends Emily, Dusty, and Kyle at IHOP. After breakfast we all headed down to Springfield to spend the day with Andrea. After lunch the girls headed off to go hit up some flea markets and the fellas wandered around downtown Springfield finally settling on a movie. Iron Man 2. 

Let me give you my 4 word review.

Needs more Scarlett Johansson!

Seriously! She is one attractive lady!

After the movie we met up with the ladies for dinner and a little Andy's Custard. While we were at the custard shop the street was lined with folks sitting in their lawn chairs waiting for a parade. But it wasn't a parade it was just people watching classic cars drive up and down the street. It was a little weird but we joined right in and enjoyed the hour or so we spent their.  Afterwards we said goodbye to Andrea and headed back home. It was a pretty fun day!

Sunday began with church and lunch with friends, then a really long nap. But I couldn't sleep for long because a small group of friends and I were heading to Celebration at the Station. It's a Memorial Day celebration at the historic Union Station in Kansas City. The KC Symphony played an amazing concert before thousands of Kansas Citians, then the night sky was lit up with one of the best fireworks shows I have ever seen. With the Liberty Memorial in the background it made a perfect end to a great night.

Monday morning was a little lazy but then I headed to my parents house for a Memorial Day lunch. It was a little too hot to spend the whole day outside but that didn't stop my dad, my brothers, and I from tossing around the baseball for a while. I had to head home early though because a new roommate was moving in so I needed to help him out. 

So that was my weekend.
